BaaBaalankies.com first opened in 2005 after I made a blankie for a very good friend of mine. I then started making minky blankets for nieces, nephews and other friends. Everyone loved their blankie so much that I decided to offer them online to you.

As my friend's baby grew, she started carrying her blankie with her every where she went. You wouldn't see her without it... ever. For her 4th birthday I made her a new toddler sized blanket with fabric of her most cherished character. For a very long time, she didn't want to have any part of this new blanket. They say old blankies die hard.

My hope is that each and every blanket that I make gets carried everywhere, dragged around, tossed in shopping carts, snuggled into car seats and rubbed in the dirt a little at the playground. This will let me know that it was loved and cherished just as much as the first.

Here, you won't find a team of expert researchers or a warehouse full of seamstresses zipping through orders. There is no corporate office that will transfer your call to the next representative or put you on hold. It's only me here day after day, sending out emails and sewing lots of love. I hope that I can make your experience as personalized as the blankie you give.

I am proud to say that at last check, I have covered over 40 different states and 5 different countries with an estimated 400 blankets. I stopped counting. More often than not, when someone receives a blanket they love it so much that it becomes their choice of baby gifts to give. The love has a spiraling effect. Each and every baby is a special gift and each and every blankie should be too.
